Static electricity when unboxing series x

Hello.

I just unboxed a series x and when i got of the wrap i was very static, when i toutched the bottom and around on the back side of the console to lift it up i got a very hard static electricity, that went out in my hole hand and i really felt it.

I have always heard that static electricity and electronic a bad combination? It works fine though, then later when i moved it i also got a shock when i toutched the rubber plate under.

I try to find out why i was so electric, must be the combination of the plastic wrap and that i was standing a few meters in front of an portable aircondition with dry air maby?

One should think the Series X is very good isolated against this things and specialy since it’s wrapped in plastic, but i could also have toutched the ports behind when i first got the "hard shock" in my hand when first toutching it.

So Whats the thoughts around this when getting this type of electricity when toutching the console?

Humanly, statics depends more on the person handling an object than on the object itself, not in all cases.

Currently, many devices and electronics are already provided against static, although the risk still exists, it is no longer very likely that this will happen.

In the case of your console, it could have been aggressively shaken before loading it, or you simply loaded yourself with static with some carpet, the rubber of your shoes, even the low humidity of the place can be a cause of static.

I would recommend you do the experiment, to touch a metal, wood or concrete surface to discharge the electrical charge in your body, so you rule out whether it is the object itself that is charged or not.

plastic wrap causes a lot of static, i wouldn't worry about it.

I can confirm that the Xbox Elite 2 controller has issues with conducting electricity through the paddles.

I am getting shocked as well.

The Xbox Elite 2 controller needs to be recalled immediately.

I think my problem is online, on the Microsoft servers.

If I would unbox a brand new Series S oder Series X,

and log in..... same problem with my avatar would show "now possible to load".
