State/Province problem (PC)

Okay so, I just realized a game I wanted to pre-order comes out tomorrow. The catch is, I'm working a night shift and by the time I get off it will be "tomorrow" - so the stores will be closed and if I buy it digitally, I won't get the pre-order bonus, which
is why I wanted to pre-order.

I decided to pop on to the XBox store online and do it through here, but (despite showing all my previous transactions from the same card) when I go to buy the game, it doesn't show my card and needs me to add one. But when I try, it only shows me US states
in the "State/Province" field.

I went to an old thread and went through all of their suggestions...

-I checked my region on commerce.xbox.com, it shows "CA - Personal Account".

-I tried Sign in to your Microsoft account , just to see if it would work anyway - it comes up with an error and won't process it (presumedly cause I'm trying to move it to
the same region.)

...This other thread was from about 2 years ago, and there were still several people for whom the problem hadn't been fixed, and it apparently STILL hasn't so.... I guess I'm ***? Thanks Microsoft!

Xbox One Games - State/Province Problem

I wish someone would post something useful as to why the state/Province list on PC only has states. There are no provinces listed at all.

I went back and tried again - every time I search for the game and find the results, it's coming up as "store.xbox.com/en-CA...." but then when I click on the game itself to begin the purchase
process, the URL changes to "store.xbox.com/en-US..." I've tried manually changing it back and it won't let me. EVERY way I've found to check my region says it's Canada, and I'm most definitely
in Canada, so I have no idea why it would be doing this.

 

I have the same problem - and it looks like many other do as well. It would be nice if Microsoft support would give us an response.

It looks like this thread was from a different pre-order. Please make sure you have your GT tied to the correct region, as well as all of your billing information entered correct on
commerce.microsoft.com

I have exact same problem and yea when u try to force fron en_US to en-CA on the url it doesnt work. Despite having all in your account on canada(english)

 

Same problem. Microsoft really doesn't give a ***. That thread was 2 years old and nothing's been changed. Baffling that this company wanted to go all digital this generation when they are this slow to fix known issues. We don't live in a bloody third world
country.

I have a possible solution. Go to the bottom of the Xbox page you were one, and on the left it will say something like: "English (United States)". Click on it and change the default region to your home country and it should bring you back to the page with
your home country's settings. If that doesn't work, try it again and if it still doesn't work, I'm afraid you are still waiting for a solution .

 

Finally. The post above is the correct solution. Keep an eye on the URL. When it changes back to US, go to the bottom left of the xbox page click on English (United States) and select "Canada". You may have to this more than once. When you enter billing
information the provinces will be there. I got my add-on this way.
