    Hello everyone State of the One :)

    .........

    I hope that " VR Gaming " is going to be 100% completely optional

    .........

    If " VR Gaming " is the only way to game, then I'm going to quit gaming on current generation consoles and play my Original Xbox / Xbox 360 only.

    With that being said, I'm probably going to need to buy more Original Xbox and Xbox 360 games LOL State of the One :)

    VR is very over hyped, Microsoft were right to dodge it. Most of the hype around it now is VR mobile usage, think Wii style stuff. Sony are taking a huge gamble on VR.

    The next big thing is MR (mixed reality) and for once Microsoft guessed right and has the edge with Hololens but their are serious competitors in this area with MagicLeap and Apple also prepping to enter it.

    As for the Xbox One, the biggest issue are the bugs and reliability of the store. that was pushed out too quickly, there's no way that should have been released to users in it's state with random crashes, it needs A LOT of optimization work.

    The store needs more features like a to buy later list, better categories like a section for games with mods or a special offers section (why do I need to look a major nelson blog for deals).

    Also needs an officially sanctioned means to share your digital games library with 1-2 friends, same as Steam does it (yes I know with xbox home you can sort of do this) MS wants to be Steam Lite so why bother beat around the bush.

    Maybe it will end up more like a 'steam box' ? Interesting, I had no idea it was just around the corner. It seems I have to troll these forums with a little more regularity.

    Shut up!? 2017 is possible release? I don't doubt you, just surprised. With the release of the xbox one s, I'd have considered that the mid life of the one and wouldn't expect any 'next-next gen :) ' until 2020

    Well the next xbox has been confirmed for holiday 2017. I can't wait.

    I love this console. There are so many good games in my opinion. In fact I'm so backed up with good games I'm only just now getting around to playing Rise of the Tomb Raider.

    The only thing I would like to see change is the length of the game DVR clips.
