overall game was great, despite some glitches. the different take on survival and losing characters made it a unique experience. I would score it a solid 7/10. also enjoying the dlc lifeline. which do you guys thinks better lifeline or breakdown?

I personally love breakdown because it's never ending and it has some of the best characters, my favourite is Amelia Crasman as here stats are nearly maxed as soon as you get her and you can choose all the specialisations you want, she's like a blank slate.

I also like how I can build up my survivors with awesome gear etc. before moving on to the next breakdown stage, you eventually get to a point where all your survivors are beasts.

This game sounds really good, but based on what I've been hearing you have to be in a group (A.I. controlled) instead of being solo. I will keep an eye on it though because it has peaked my interest LOL

Hi Lei, you can actually use just one character if you want and I actually do that quite a bit myself, you survive as a group at the base and can control most characters, but I always have a favourite that I use 95% of the time and will only let them rest
if they get injured.

You can also invite other members of your community to adventure with you as backup if you're going to do some of the more dangerous activities outside of your base, so it's not like you're always in a team of 4 with 1 human and 3 AI, it's a little more
complex than that.

I also like to adventure by myself because the others tend to slow me down as I've got tactics for just about every activity to do it solo. The one downside is if your main character happens to die, your back up survivors stats might be a little low so I
usually have 2 or 3 good characters, but mainly just use my favourite.

I highly recommend you check it out! Loads of fun!

I don't like playing with A.I controlled team mates because from my experience, they (A.I. controlled team mates) tend to make your life harder instead of easier.

No worries, but that was my point! You don't have to play with the AI! Also they aren't the most sophisticated tasks that you have to do, so the AI keep up quite well. The only complaint of them I would have is sometimes they don't know a car is in front
of them and I'll just keep running into the car for about 15 seconds before they realise to go around to get to the objective.

Maybe just check out some videos of people roaming with the AI if you ever get close to purchasing it. It's not like other games where you rely heavily on the AI. Anyway, hope you check it out one day.

 

Hey Digital. Thanks for all your input re: SOD. After playing lifeline a good bit. I've found it somewhat harder than the main campaign. Do you agree/disagree? Finally had to take a little break. My base kept getting overrun Lol. Anyways going to try breakdown.
Wish it had an ending. Would love to see an actual sequel in the future.

Lifeline is definitely the hardest out of the lot, surviving a siege can be so touch and go sometimes, but if you press down on the D-pad and select the air strike and a few of the other options only the army has, it can be much more manageable. I think
you buy airstrikes with influence and can save as many as 5 of them up at once, make sure to do this in-between every siege. Though once you get into the rhythm of lifeline things become easier as it plays a lot different to the other two modes.

I think that's why I like breakdown, there's more room to breath whereas I felt one little mistake could really cost me in lifeline and I actually like that breakdown is continuous because with the other two modes you spend all this time upgrading your base
etc. and once you finish the game, that's it, all gone.

 

Very buggy still for me with poor framerate, poor graphics and survivors wandering of for no reason when out, but there is still something addictive about it and am happy with the purchase

 

Played this for awhile now on xb1, all modes. Price is a rip off. Literally did not fix a single bug, nor "cleaned up the UI" as advertised. Just a straight port money grab for anyone that played previous 360 version.

This game alone defines how botched and F'up this next gen has become. Inches away from getting Ps4 and giving up on xb for good.
