State of Decay Year One Edition ?'s

I'm pretty far into the game, and have a few questions. How long does it take for the mercy shot mission to become available? Do you need to complete the Wilkerson missions first? Seems like I've been waiting forever. Also does Alan become sick on his own
like the pastor, or can you take him to get sprayed by a bloater's toxic gas? Lastly, my home base has been at the church the whole game. I have it built up pretty well upgraded workshop, medical, kitchen, and outposts. Can I finish the game without changing
home base? I only have 8 survivors left. I would like to keep the same home base if possible. Appreciate any feedback provided.

Hello Darthvisor077,

The mercy shot mission is a pain...a big one. The make this mission happen a member of the community has to become gravely ill. I watch this yesterday never happen. We had zero meds and not health clinic. 6 people where ill but we never got the mission.
Wish I had better news but that's all I have on it.

Is the way I got the mission 2 years ago. I had issues with this yesterday.

Home Base. Jacob will take you down to the town of Marshell to look at new spots ( Home away from Home is the mission name). I would get about a total of 12 community members and move to The Trucking Warehouse. Its one of the best places to live...not
the best but good.

Is this game worth the 30 bucks? I never played the original so is this an actual improvement or just another cash cow? The missus really wants to get this game, but I wanna see if it's even worth it first.

I actually have to say that after Alan shot pastor Williams it wasn't long (and I mean like only 30 mins) until Alan got sick for me, I was already in the truckers yard with beds, full meds, full clinic the lot and there wasn't even warnings like 'Alan is
gravely ill' I hadn't progressed the main story past the court house and was just doing all the random things.

Now Breakdown is a different matter, after you progress from stage 1 there is little chance (for me anyway) that someone will get sick and on the 360 it was the only challenge I missed. Do what peddlar has said when you first start out and don't get meds,
no clinic, run survivors into bloaters etc. and it might take a few days of leaving the game there until they're sick enough for the mercy shot.

Pay attention at the version of the game only for console, that for the simple reason that State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition is not part of play anywhere list.
