State Of Decay 2 - Session Error Issue

Hey. I was trying to play State Of Decay 2 with my freind but when I go onto the settings and enable the multiplayer it says session error in the corner. I also tried joining him and it said error 1005. This is on Xbox One.

I've tested NAT, Multiplayer, and Network connection and they all say "All Good."

I've restarted the game, restarted router and reinstalled the game.

I own xbox live and the game itself, and at this time there is no xbox outages.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

We are all playing on PC. It was fine about a week ago. We have tried connecting to each others' communities and it does the same thing. We have both tried clean installs and that did not work

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We'd be happy to help.

Are you playing on the Xbox One? Or is someone on PC playing cross platform?

If other multiplayer games work then the servers may be going through some maintenance.

If you are playing on an Xbox One console, have you tested your network to make sure your NAT is OPEN and all services are available? On PC it should be the same on the Xbox app.

What troubleshooting have you done?

Let us know that information and we can figure out how we can solve this issue if possible.
