StarWars squadrons and the issue with HOTAS one

I picked up the xbox hotas one flight stick setup, primarily for games like Squadrons, Ace Combat, and Elite Dangerous.

I knew Squadrons would be compatiable, and its an awesome piece of hardware, but when I started playong Squadrons yesterday an issue came up that I cant find a fix for.

The HOTAS is completely functional and it works as expected, however if you dont also have a normal (or in my case elite series 2,) controller turned on it wont work. Turning it on isnt a big deal, but you get a interuption in gameplay, without a way to
increase or turn off the idle shutdown for the controller. Is there an alternate method for keeping the controller active or to get the HOTAS one to be identified by the system so it wont just turn off mid pvp match?

New game so I never expect it to be completely without issue, but if there is a solution available great. If not hopefully this can be resolved if known.

You can get around the time out with a cheap wired controller. The one I have doesn't time out.

I also noticed when the game starts you cannot press A to continue on the hotas on the first squadron screen. After that everything is great. I don't know if putting the charging cable in a genuine controller stops it timing out, I Will have to try it.

I learned to fly on rogue squadron. Its one of the best Starwars games ever. But i did notice when I put my sticks to lefty southpaw I could fly pretty much like an x-wing.

The last ea game I remember that had a free smart delivery game other then gamepass was starwars squadrons that and ea 2022 sports titles currently but that's dual entitlement

You can get Jedi fallen order upgrade with gamepas

Hi there Wayne! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Check your configuration settings with the driver on your PC (should be called "Control Panel" with a little HOTAS icon)

Now move the Throttle/Z-Axis on your HOTAS up and down all the way to confirm that the throttle is going up the entire way.

If it does go up the entire way, then it is a keybind issue

If it does not, then unfortunately it is an issue with the HOTAS's throttle. You will have to calibrate it in the control panel menu

(It's always a good idea to download the PC drivers so you can calibrate your T.Flight Hotas One, run diagnostics and see if there's any issues with your HOTAS that's affecting your Xbox experience) If you don't have the PC drivers, they can easily be downloaded here:

Just simply select >Drivers - Package 2017_TFHT_1 + Firmware and make sure you set the switch near the joystick to PC instead of Xbox before you connect it to your PC.

I played both on my Xbox One and PC using the T-Flight Hotas One, so I know about this issue you're experiencing. Hope this helps!

Ok look at the back of your console does it say series x or xbox one x if xbox one x then it's NOT COMPATIBLE

Xbox one games don't have a s or x requirement

Xbox series consoles don't have a one in their names

This was already anno)ed launch 2 years agos no it's not just a numbers Bump you are talking about 12 years I technology difference and the Zen 2 cpu is new as of 2 years ago and next gen storage and compression proccessor

Hotas will not work on cloud only installed games on Xbox one and series consoles sinxe it's only usable on xbox one x on cloud you cant use it

On series.x you.must.install.it

However.games.Like squadrons will work on xbox one.locally with hotas
