Startup problem

Thanks for your update! If whenever your console completely cycles power it's operating system needs to be reset, then your Xbox One's hard drive could be damaged or malfunctioning. To ensure this isn't this issue, try an

Offline Factory Reset, this will allow you to upload the latest and most stable version of the Xbox One operating system to it manually. In order for an issue like a malfunctioning hard drive to be corrected, it would need to be repaired. You can request

You may have already tried this but just to be sure;

Hold down the touch sensitive power button on the console for 5-10 seconds until you hear a sound. Turn it on and the problem should hopefully be fixed.

Sorry about the late reply, I've just moved house.

Maybe I wasn't clear. The Xbox isn't shutting down on its own. If I unplug the Xbox or if I were to have a powercut, then when I power the Xbox up again, I have to do a factory reset. If the Xbox is put in standby mode it's fine. The Xbox runs fine, but
like I said, if for any reason the Xbox has to be unplugged, the machine needs to have a full factory reset. If not, then I either get one of three things, the "we have encountered a problem" and the options to reset, restart, etc or I get a black screen or
it stays on the green screen.

If the console is shutting off because of some minor settings adjustments. I would follow Wishcatchers advice. If it's something more serious like a ventilation issue or hard drive failure you definitely want to send it in if it's still under warranty.
Most consoles come with a 1 year limited warranty. Anything older then that and there may be a fee involved.

Also, make sure there is no issue with your ISP blocking or throttling any type of connection to the XBOX.
