Starting to get feed up with the XB1 UI

UI is getting really annoy. Why Is it that the XBOX 360 had 512 MB of ram and the X1 has 3GB and is slow this make no sense. I don't know who programs the XB1 UI but they need to fix this cause its really pissing me off. Play a game like watch dog or BF4
and hold the Xbox home bug and it take so long so times. I love the setup and if it would work it would be great. I don't know how you guys feel but its really starting to make me frustrated more and more.

Xbox one dashboard redesign ?

Yay lets revive old threads. I prefer Xbox 360's UI. Much more faster. Less squares. Less boxes. Social section of UI on Xbox 360 shows your avatar and ALL of your friends avatars. Friend requests accept decline system asks permission. There's none of this
stalking and following nonsense. I see a huge amount of people on XB1 with disproportionate number of friends. For instance, 1004 Friends, 73 followers. That means they have 73 people who have this person on their friends list, and that the person is stalking
the difference. Can't play music in the background while gaming. XB1's UI is stored online, not like with 360's UI which is stored on your console. That could explain why it's slower and achievement notifications are at least 2x slower at popping up than on
360. However turn off the internet for XB1, and the XB1 is FORCED to use the UI the console has. Not to mention Xbox 360 has weaker hardware yet a more responsive UI than XB1. I expect the UI on XB1 to function much more fluid given that it's suppose to be
better hardware. Just goes to show the amount of bloat they add to the XB1 software, and they update the thing every month. I rate Xbox 360's UI 8/10 and XB1's 5/10 (still a pass).

I wonder if it was the update or your XB1 was messed or starting to mess up. I hope your XB1 doesn't get fried.

 

occasionally it takes longer to do things than it should, loading in the activity feed, load the party snap up, loading messages, etc, but its certainly getting better.

 

I love the UI! I love waiting for ever for anything to open. Some invites me to a party and I've got time to make a cup of coffee while it opens up. Microsoft is so considerate giving me time to enjoy life while I open up apps on my xbox one! Thank you Microsoft!

 

I don't have any problems with the UI. What I am fed up with is that boring black background. It needs some color putting into it! I want themes!

 

I am not on the UI long enough to care what the bg image is, it would be a nice to have, but I think there are better things to add, or make right.

 

It's almost instantaneous for me. Sounds like you should contact support.

 

Yeah, I never have any delays either. It's really fast and it has certainly gotten faster since launch.

 

Like Sword Style and brandiesel1 have mentioned, it's almost instantaneous with no delays for me; much faster response than the 360.

I'm in "Energy Saver" mode. What is everyone else using?

You are barking up the wrong tree OP. If MS put a turd on a plate, they would say it's the most delicious thing they ever ate.

Being a fan means you call out MS for there BS not apologize for it.

 

when i open a party it's nearly instant .. when i do just about anything it's pretty instant. i haven't noticed ANYTHING close in comparison to the delay there is on the Xbox 360

 

Opening party chat is instantaneous, add a second to bring up who you want to invite. From start to finish, maybe 6 to 7 seconds.

When M.S. does something I don't like...I call them out. I was VERY vocal with 24 hour check-in and Kinect not originally having a way to turn it out. I also do not like Windows 8.

I am having a great experience with the X1, and it's getting better all the time. I also am not so delusional to think that because I'm not having problems others are not. Though it would seem some that have these problems can't fathom others are not.

I don't have any issues my UI. Try making sure that you are closing games and apps that you're not using, to see if it speeds up the responsiveness.
