I had to reboot my xbox and now It does not turn on when I start the controller

Depends on how big your current HDD. Might be worth looking out for a larger pre-owned one. (will need the transfer cable though).

Also worth looking through your downloads and getting rid of what you don't need. Example: most of the HUGE Battlefield 3 updates can be deleted. Remember, you can redownload the deleted stuff again if wanted.

 

Start up

You can also buy a USB stick and download it to that, and as long as its connected to your Xbox you can play it. Did it with a few other games works just fine and a 32GB USB is $20 at Walmart

Try with a power-cycle.

Turn off your console.

Remove the power cable from the console and wait 15 secs.

Turn on the console again.

If this does not work, try pairing your controller again, even using a cable it is fine.

Please note that sometimes it might take longer for the console to detect the controller. I had the same problem few days ago. It went away after few reboots

Did you try resyncing your controller to the console?

You do this by pressing and holding in the small button found on the bottom of the console under the Xbox logo and the one on the front of the controller.

Let us know if it worked, if not then we can do some other troubleshooting.

 

Connect your controller by cable first. Turn on console... Then turn it off with controller and try to turn it on with controller. It should work

 

Do a Power Cicle on your Xbox, If It doesn't work you should set your Xbox again
