    I recently moved into a college dorm and just tried setting up my Xbox. It does the initial green loading screen then just comes up with the error screen and the option to restart the Xbox or troubleshoot it. When I select troubleshoot it gives me the option to restart the Xbox, factory restart the Xbox, update with a usb, and a fourth one I do not remember. This has never happened to me before and I have moved my Xbox about 3 times before this without any issue. What can I do to get on my Xbox again? Is there anyway I can do that without having to factory reset?

    If you select Reset and keep my games & apps, you will not need to reinstall any game or app on your console.

    I'm afraid you can't. You'll need to select the Factory Reset option and then choose Keep Games and Apps in order to bypass that error message.

    When you get this error you have two options. You can either try an offline update using a USB flash drive. The instructions for that are here.

    Alternatively you may need to preform the factory reset. However, if the issue persists, you will need to send it in for repairs. To arrange that just follow the steps on this link here.
