Start up disk for Xbox One S

Ok so in the last few days i found an xbox one to try the disks in. I installed the game and then shut down the xbox. I started it back up and the game worked perfectly. I turned the xbox off again and the the game worked perfectly. I suspect that the disk
drive on my xbox was the issue and not the game disks. This may help others that get the same loop of error messages. The disk drive may be starting to go bad and either needs to be replaced(i was told that it would cost $135) or you could trade it in to some
store and upgrade your device. That is what i chose to do. I traded the xbox one that i had for an xbox one S. I have had zero issues with the game since.

You do realize that this I'd with ALL digital consoles right ? Both ps5 and xbox series s and all digital xbox one s and ps4 both say you cannot use disk games

You aren't backing them up you aren't fully understanding how consoles work

Games are installed from disk or digital

For Disk you MUST have the disk to validate the iownership regardless of console

Digitals havr the license built in

There is no way around it as 300k xbox "fans" revolted and got the previous xbox boss mattrick fired over not needing the disk on the original xbox one

No console works the way your idea wants and sony thoroughly rejected it with the disk sharing ad

You aren't backing anything up you are installing the disk and uncompressing the files and installing whatever day one patches and updates that's not a back up of the disk

You are thinking PC not console

are you sure you don't have an Xbox one S and not an Xbox series S?

If it has a disk Drive, it's a one S and it will not work

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them

Yeah.... The game is still not working for me. (OP) I have the new S-xbox and the first generation of that. (the shiny one). I have deleted ALL the saves, backing them up on a memory stick, but everyonce in a while it just says the disk is unreadable and
then i can play it at all.

Its installed and all that. It take me to the start screen and lets me hit Continue, but about 5 seconds into the loading screen it pops up with the "Disk Unreadable" error.
