Start trek online

so I do not have Xbox Live but I had the ability yesterday to download and play Star Trek online and I played for a good two hours at most. I stopped in the middle of a mission and went to sleep my Xbox went into sleep mode and turned it on signed back in
and now the game says I'm not permitted to play and that I need Xbox Live. So how can I play and then no longer play..... that makes no sense

Star Trek Online Coming to Xbox One and PS4 | Star Trek Online

Will be keeping an eye on this one, played it for a few months from launch on PC and remember enjoying it a lot, but didn't take long to reach max level.

Hopefully after 6 years there's a bit more content.

Hey there ChAOtiC kRip,

It was actually a free Xbox Live Gold Weekend this past weekend. So that would explain why you were able to play the game and are now unable to. If you'd like to keep playing, you'll need to get an Xbox Live Gold Subscription.

I'm playing Star Trek Legacy now on the 360. Not an MMO, and online is pretty much dead, but you shouldn't miss this one if you're a Star Trek fan...

A real Star Trek game would be awesome.

There's talk of some crap co-op junk shooter in the works based on the terrible crap reboot, but a real Star Trek game? That would be awesome.

There's always Star Trek Online on the PC though, if you don't mind an MMO...

There are better Star Trek games.

You and your friend should try Star Trek Online. It's free to play, and it has a lot of updates that have improved the game.
