    Start over with new profile


    My son has Xbox live Gold that just renewed a few months ago. He wants to start over now with a new profile and doesn't want any of his achievements, etc to follow to the new account (I have no idea why). He isn't banned or locked out. Is there a way
    to do this? Would he need to pay for a new Xbox live gold account again?

    Unfortunately, you're going to need to use the older profile, or start over with your new profile.

    I want to start over.

    So it sounds like the only way to start over is to create a new profile on the box and start play with that profile. Since the old Silver and Gold member rules no longer apply the new profile would have access to Live.

    He would just have to create another account like he did when he created the one he has now. Nothing will transfer, so if he wants to play online he would need a new gold subscription.

    So basically you are wanting to start over with a new gamertag/xbox profile on the same Microsoft Account.

    Are you wanting to do this so that you can start over on achievements in games or what?

    There is no way to transfer your current gamertag/xbox profile to an old MS account.

    You can create a new account and set your console as your current profiles Home console that way you can play the games that the original account owns on the new account and start over that way.

    What would be the point of starting a new profile in order to start fresh if you just transfer everything else over anyway?
