In a bit of a situation. I unfortunately didn't do the Lester missions right and now I'm stuck waiting for my stocks to go up on their own. (Beaten the game). Should I just start over (want to get gold on all missions) or should
i just continue and go back and replay missions for gold and just wait to get money a different way? I'm leaning towards restarting. But not sure. (Forgive grammar and spelling. On my phone)

    :)

While playing during a replay the game goes back to the home screen and restarts. I have been able to play full games but randomly sometimes it just starts over.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon! Huwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah?

I am very tempted to pick this up because I tried the trial and it is amazing.

So once you complete the game, is there any replay value?

Do your enhancements actually enhance future playthroughs?

The game is so good you will want to replay it, so there is replay value. However when you start a new game you start from scratch there is no new game +, also there is no replay mission option either.

It took me just over 12 hours to complete everything including achievements, I would say for £10 it is great value.

  4. Start over or just replay missions?

I tend to start a new game instead of replay missions myself. Starting a new game, starts the whole story again and I love it. But that's just me.

Of course, I have to start anew on Xbox One... but hey, least I'll have some fun ^^

Personally, I would start again. Knowing what you know now and putting it right, should be fun.

When I decided to try for the 70 Golds achievement, I played it through from the beginning. One tip: do a quick save before any mission, even the strangers and freaks. That way if you miss the gold, you can easily reload and try again. A lot of the missions,
like towing and paparazzi are easy gold medals.

For some of the big combat missions though, you'll probably have to replay a couple of times. Like, you might go for headshots one playthrough, then the time limit the next time. The gold medal requirement stack, so you can get a gold after completing all
the categories. 70 Golds is pretty easy, I got the cheevo before I even hit the Agency Heist mission.

If you want the 70 gold medals, I personally would recommend replaying the missions first. Say you have a time limit and a headshots goal, and you got the head shots, but not the time, when you replay, just go for the time, and it'll count towards the gold.

The requirements for gold medals do not have to be done in 1 play through of the missions, except for the rampages, if you decide to try those for gold. So replay missions first, as you will more than likely have a few golds. If you restart, your golds vanish
and you start at square one. This is just my recommendation. This is what I have done.

I have 2 different games, 2 saves each (not counting the auto-save). On the first save, the one I started at launch, had about 10 golds. Then I decided to restart my game (for more money from the assassinations; replays of the assassinations doesn't give
you anymore money, but the requirements for gold can still be received on a replay) and beat the story missions with 15 golds. Now between the 2 saves, I have over 70 golds, but didn't give me the achievement, so they have to be on one save.

If you restart, disable Autosave so if you mess up you won't have to restart again. Other than that, IDRC about achievements.

Speaking of "stuff that gets missed", does anyone know if once you pick a heist path, you can go back and play the other version or do you have to start a whole new game just to play the version you didn't choose?

  13. Start over or just replay missions?

    Option C.

In this case, it's easier to get money by just playing the BAWSAQ even before doing the missions. Certain persons out there have figured out how to manipulate the social club exchange, I have effectively piggybacked on this to stack up cash. And by that
I mean 10s of billions. In my game Franklin is at the part where he does the hotel assassination, this has not been completed. He already has a tank, cargo bob, buzzard, whatever, 2 billion shares of Betta Pharmaceuticals, more than a billion $ in Ammunation,
I think 2 billion shares of Crevis and 2 billion shares of Tinkle. All total that's well over $10 billion. After the Hotel Assassination just Betta Pharmaceuticals will be worth $15 to $20 billion. Why am I doing this? I have no idea! But it works. Seeing
as it only takes around $230 million for Michael to seemingly buy everything and still have walking around money it's not necessary to take things that far.

I'll do an abridged description of how this works and some important things to keep in mind while playing the market like this, if people have questions, I'll respond to those later.

Ok, there's some important computer math programming things to keep in mind, the whys aren't really important so I'm not going to bother discussing much beyond that generally GTA V uses signed 32bit integers. This means the upper limit on some things is
2.147 billion. This limit is very important, and nothing can be done directly to circumvent it. It just is, 2.147 billion. Accept it as a law of the universe.

That happens to be the maximum amount of cash that can be carried at one time. The game is very convenient with this is some respects. When one goes to an individual stock (not out of the whole portfolio) "sell all" will sell only the number of shares
necessary to get to this limit. Not all games do this math for people. In fact, the vast majority will overflow. This is bad, because if we add one to the full system limit, it becomes -2.147 billion. Having -2.147 billion would make it very difficult
to earn money, as one would have to earn 2.147 billion more just to get back to zero.

This limit comes up again. When buying stocks, DO NOT BUY MORE THAN 2.147 billion shares. This is not the exact system limit, but it's pretty close. Adds significant number of shares to that limit will cause them to overflow. The game doesn't crash,
instead it just zeros out the shares. So instead of $10s of billions in shares, you have $0 in 0 shares.

Because the game is dollars, but the stocks are in dollars and cents, that introduces rounding errors that become significant when dealing with huge quantities of stock. So when buying 100s of millions of shares or dollars in stocks, it may become necessary
to back off a little bit or the purchase might not go through. For very expensive stocks like Ammunation one might only have to back off a few shares. For cheap stocks like Hawk And Little after people have depressed the price, one may have to back off millions
of shares (holding - with the maximum 2.147 billion shares will drop it around 10% or 210 million shares in a second).

Great, now we have a very sketchy idea of the math based pitfalls to avoid. But what stocks to buy and how does one protect themselves from losses? Ok ok, first how to get money.

Steal a cab. Put it in one's garage. Play GTA V like it's really Crazy Taxi when the mood strikes. Always return the Taxi to the garage so it's convenient. One could always call and jack a taxi, but from time to time, one will start off running from
the cops. That can be tedious. Alternatively, one can just steal a taxi right away and wear it out doing fares. Each fare will be around 200 to 300 with tip assuming few accidents, that can add up to $10,000 pretty quick and honestly, that's about all the
    seed money necessary.

On to the stocks. Buy low sell high, save wins, load loses. There are certain constraints on the GTA stock market, stocks don't split or reverse split, companies are acquired or split up, they don't go bankrupt, they aren't delisted. So we know we can't
lose everything. (Unless one sells everything when their game cannot connect to the Rockstar service) I like to use 3 saves, only 2 saves are necessary. One is the cash save. When you win, save over both saves with the newly acquired cash. But a new stock
that seems poised for a rebound, save on the stock save. That's it.

Along with the constraints on the stocks, there are preferred trading ranges. The BAWSAQ is effected by player actions. The LCN is not. So only buy LCN stocks if one is doing relevant Assassination Missions. Hawk and Little typically ranges between a
little over $1 a share to about $2 a share. This can be pushed way down. I've seen as little as $0.12 a share for Hawk and Little and as high as $2.30 that's 20x times earnings. The people who are pushing the stock up and down have a hard time hitting those
extremes, probably because of people like me piggybacking on their work. Heavy Industries, as a similar if little bit higher range. Crevis can go from $.60 to over $6, Vapid can have a similar range, although, these are extreme outliers and things like $1.50
to $3.00 are more common. Ammunation seems to be the stock where everyone first banks their money, I've never seen it decrease. 2 billion shares of Ammunation would represent more than $1 trillion dollars in GTA. So perhaps at that point people feel there's
no point to selling everything off and depressing the share price, to move their money into something like PumpNDump.

    But that's it. Any questions?
