    Stars not reflecting - follow-up

    Hi support,

Followed the instructions on the previous answer I got, closed my rewards account and reopened one. Ive now waited until the date shows up in my account settings to validate the account is up and running.

I have a couple of questions:

    1) Is the new account in the correct currency? Issue was the rewards account was in MXN, but my xbox live account was in USD. Hopefully the new rewards account is now in USD

    2) In the answer I received I was told to post in order to get pending rewards from my previous account transferred over. Can this be done?

    3) Do pre-orders get registered for the stars spend? I pre-ordered MVC:I, which comes out tomorrow. Will this count towards my star total now, or will it not because despite the game not coming out until tomorrow, the pre-order happened before I re-opened
    my account?

Here is the original response, for reference:

    Hello Don Umaro,

You registered into the program as a Mexican Microsoft user, so we created a Mexican Rewards Account for you. Since your purchases have not been in that regional currency (MXN), your recent purchases have not been eligible for Rewards. Furthermore, the difference
between your Rewards Account region and Microsoft Account region will cause us to be unable to complete a deposit. We cannot deposit one regional currency into a Microsoft Account of a differing regional currency.

However, this issue can be fixed by heading over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com) to update your Microsoft account to match your Xbox Live Rewards location. Another option if
you wish to continue with Rewards in your current Xbox Live region is to opt out of the program at (https://rewards.xbox.com/optout/), wait 48 hours and then sign back up again, which can also take 48 hours.

While you will lose your progress by starting a brand new account, you can start earning Rewards Credits that will successfully reward your newly registered regional currency. To confirm that you have re-registered correctly, you
can check your join date from the MyRewards page at (Xbox Live Rewards). If your join date shows a specific date, then your account has successfully been re-registered. If you see “???” then
your account is still being created. If you open a new post after being able to log in to your new Rewards account, you can request any pending deposits from your old account to your new one."

    :)

    Stars not reflecting in account

    Hi support,

been a member for years and I dont believe Ive ever received any stars, despite spending above the yearly amount required. For years it's never reflected any stars, so I figured maybe there was a glitch in the system. Thought I'd check in again now, as we're
closing in on the year and I'm fairly certain I've at least hit the threshold for the first star, if not more.

Thanks, and how interesting that pre-orders are the only thing that doesn't count. Weird to disincentivize that. Will await support response on the rest.

    Hello Don Umaro,

We see that your Rewards Account region and you Microsoft Account region are now matching for the US, and will begin the Credit transfer. You should see the Credits appear shortly.

    Regarding pre-orders, from our FAQ:

What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar
items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

Therefore, a pre-order is not eligible for MyVIP, and will not award progress or MyVIP payback.
