Starpoint Gemini 2 Gold Pack

Hi all,

we released Starpoint Gemini 2 Gold Pack today, along with all 3 DLCs on Xbox Store. Available DLCs are:

Secrets of Aethera - Added storyline, new features, weapon research, new station (Keppler) and new ships.

Origins - A whole original Starpoint Gemini campaign ported to SPG2 engine. It requires a new game start since the story is happening 20 years in the past.

Titans - Titans can be found as a side mission. It will lead to a short storyline where you'll be able to get one of 3 Titans depending on which side you choose. Later, you can capture others.

Starpoint Gemini 2 - controls

Let's face it, the game is pretty cool, despite the voice acting and story. However, I have a proposed controller layout. At the very least, we need control over every aspect of the controls and movement. The game was designed for PC and the console controls
are nausea inducing. This can all be solved if we think back to Descent 1 on PC and many games after it.

My proposal for controls, for console, is this:

Left thumbstick handles X and Y axis movements, e.g. pressing forward on the stick will raise the ship, while pulling back will lower it, in addition to sliding the ship left and right.

Right thumbstick will be responsible for a combined camera/ ship movement function e.g. the direction you turn this stick, like most first person shooters, is the direction of the camera and ship e.g. nose up, nose down, nose left and nose right. Clicking
the right thumbstick in will allow you to freely move the camera and see what's around you and shoot your 360 degree weapons freely.

D-pad remains being your rolling and zoom functions.

Trust me, so many console gamers will thank you. This will allow for a less discombobulating feel as you try to distinguish your head from your a**, while in combat.

 

Rebel Galaxy announced for Xbox One

Rebel Galaxy is awesome, but it's basically naval combat on 2D plane. Then you have Starpoint Gemini 2 (I'm part of dev team) which is in full 3D, basically open space tactical combat game with RPG elements. It'coming on Xbox One in a few days, on 11. December.
Not to forget Elite which is already on Xbox. All in all space games are coming to cobsoles slowly and thw best thing is that you can choose. Elite, SPG2 and Rebel Galaxy are all in space but every of them offer completely different experiences. I have all
of them and play all of them on Steam so yes, good times are coming for console players.

their communities and I think that really counts in the end.
