Starfield only 0x80004005

I can see that you are unable to launch Starfield and you are getting the error 0x80004005. This error usually means that there is a problem with the game installation or the system update. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

- Make sure your Windows 10 is up to date and has the latest updates installed. - Run the Windows troubleshooter for apps and games. You can find it in Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Windows Store Apps.

- Check if there are any updates available for Starfield in the Microsoft Store app. If there are, download and install them.

- If the problem persists, you may need to reinstall Starfield. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Starfield, and click on Uninstall. Then, go to the Microsoft Store app, find Starfield, and click on Install.

Recently in the Answers forum we have received a lot of feedback from users about this issue, stating that the error code 0x80004005 occurs when launching Starfield, here are the related threads I found that you can refer to.

However, I have to say that since you only get the problem when running this game, then it is very likely that there is something wrong with the game itself. Hello, I am having this very same issue with Starfield on the xbox PC app as a gamepass game, though I am not having this issue with my other games from this such as Forza Horizon 5.

This is very frustrating as I had just been playing the game the day prior and now I am unable to sign in for this game alone.

I have tried everything on this list and much more, but nothing is changing the fact that this game is giving me this error code "0x80004005"

Unfortunately, Starfield will not come out for the old generation Xbox consoles. You will only be able to play Starfield on older generation consoles through XCloud available when subscribing to Xbox game pass.
