Starfield on xbox s/x crashed twice

Based on the description, you are experiencing crashes of the game in your Xbox console. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

The game support team is now currently investigating reports that some players are experiencing crashing issue on Xbox. They are encouraging to utilize the Report a problem app to provide valuable data to the Xbox Team developers for review. Additionally, make sure you are connected to the internet to ensure you have the latest updates to the game. If that does not work, proceed to the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Restart the game.

• Press the [Xbox] button on your controller to return to the Home screen.
  
• Press the [Menu] button on your controller, select quit and press [A] to close Starfield.
  
• Select Starfield from the home screen and press [A] to restart.
  

2. Power Cycle the Console.

• Press and hold the [Xbox] button on the front of the console for 10 seconds.
  
• Unplug the console's power cable and wait for 10 seconds.
  
• Plug the power cable back in and turn the console back on by pressing the [Xbox] button again.
  

3. Uninstall and Reinstall the game. Do not delete your save files, but only the game itself.

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select My games & apps > See all > Games (or Apps).
  
• Highlight the game or app you want to uninstall, press the Menu button , select Uninstall, and then follow the prompts.
  

You can then reinstall the game or app by downloading it again from the Microsoft Store or Xbox Game Pass, or by going to My games & apps > See all > Full library.

4. Launch the game offline.

• If the above solutions did not resolve it, disconnect your console from the Internet and launch the game.

Like i said,it will only run on the current gen consoles,the Series X/S.

The older gen consoles don't have the hardware to run Starfield.

The Xbox One X is a last gen console.Skyrim works as it was made for the Xbox 360 & upgraded to run on Xbox One consoles.

If you want to play Starfield the4n you'll either need to buy a Xbox Series X or S or play it via the cloud if you can.

It's been known that Starfield will only play on current gen consoles for quite a while.

Hi all, just wanted to say that I have Starfield, and thankfully that launched just fine the first time and I have not had issues with that.

However, I just installed Forza Motorsport (twice now) and I get the same crash error as you had with Starfield.

Very very VERY annoying...

I also experience frequent crashes in destiny 2 since light falls release on my Xbox series x. The only other game that constantly crashes is starfield. No other game crashes, example: dead by daylight, Diablo 4 or cyberpunk. Seems to be a hardware issue that Microsoft refuses to officially acknowledge.
