Starfield on pc if I bought on xbox

So I saw somewhere that if I bought starfield on xbox (which I did) I could install it on my pc. So my question is 1. Is that true and 2. If so how do I do that

1. Yes. It's Play Anywhere so you can play it on both.

2. On the PC, you should be able to install it from your library in the Xbox app.

My issues are all on PC, using the Gamepass. It seems that since I started my first file on Cloud Gaming it will not initialize save storage on PC.

I've uninstalled the Xbox App, Xbox Gaming Service, Starfield, and install locations around 6 times since yesterday morning to no avail.

I finally just bought the game and downloaded it standalone from a provider other than Xbox and it works fine.

starfield is cross save so yes the saves are in the cloud and work on both xbox console and pc xbox app.

How? I bought it on xbox and linked my steam account with my xbox account but only see options to purchase the game a second time. How do I prove to steam that I already purchased the game?

Yes. Since it is Play Anywhere you can install it on both. You should be able to install it through your library in the Xbox app or Microsoft Store app
