Starfield fails to launch.

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

We recently launched a Beta product called the Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC. This tool automatically runs checks and installs needed updates to the Gaming Services for your PC, which can resolve many game installation and update issues. Note that as this tool is currently in Beta, it will open a command prompt that only displays English at this time.

If you continue to experience issues after using the repair tool, it’s possible that there’s another issue that needs to be resolved first. Try the solutions provided in the Xbox App for Windows troubleshooter.

We fully understand the inconvenience the issue has caused and that the current situation can be frustrating. Recently in the Answers forum we have received a lot of feedback from users about this issue, stating that the error code 0x80004005 occurs when launching Starfield, here are the related threads I found that you can refer to.

In one of the threads, a user Stone Hardgod mentioned that disabling Quick Resume can fix this issue, you can refer to it.

However, I have to say that since you only get the problem when running this game, then it is very likely that there is something wrong with the game itself. For this, contacting Starfield support directly for feedback on this issue may be a better option. Below is the contact information I found for Starfield support that you can refer to.

I've also just successfully downloaded and installed another pc game pass game and that worked, but starfield is still failing.

I per order Starfield on August 16 2023 and today I went to Microsoft website it said failed purchase
