  1. Starcraft 2 Port

Since Blizzard is actually back into working with consoles, do you guys think we'll ever actually see Starcraft make its way over to Xbox One someday.

Its been forever since i've booted it up on my laptop, but would be cool if they did a console version, similar to what whey are doing for Diablo 3 with all the new DLC's and such.

    I'd definitely buy it!

    :)

  2. Remakes. Best, Worst, Most Wanted?

One of the lamest ports I've seen was StarCraft for the N64.

    Horrible.

    Real Time Strategy Game (RTS)

It would be awesome if they could port over Starcraft and bundle everything as a ultimate eddition.

  4. Starcraft 2 Port

as much as i would love to play starcraft 2, i don't want to see it on consoles. the rts genre just doesn't work well with controllers. even an rts build from the ground up for consoles, halo wars, wasn't all that great...not bad considering what it was
trying to do, but it could've been so much better had it been made for pc.

that being said, once the last add-on for starcraft 2 comes out, i'm sure we'll hear winks and nods from blizzard that a console port may be in the works.

  5. Would the new XCOM games be considered RTS? I've always been intimidated by the genre and StarCraft has always looked appealing to me. Love Blizzard and that was always a potential draw for me as well. In fact, I almost bought both of the old Command and
Conquer games off the dashboard but after playing the demos I just decided I'm either too dumb or too lazy or both to be bothered with learning the in's and out's of the genre. My head just feels like it's gonna explode. Fast forward to this past weekend and
I played XCOM for the first time (a game I had always heard good things about but shied away from because of it being a "strategy" game) and I'm hooked. I seriously can't put this game down. I know this is veering off topic, but are there any other games like
    this on ANY platform.

  6. Nappy, XCOM is A Turn-Based Strategy. I would Recommend Civilization if you like XCOM but the one on consoles is really poo compared to V.

  7. ^^^ Ahh, I see. I Also bought Vandal Hearts from the XBLA and it's really fun as well. I never knew I loved turn based strategy games so much. Are you talking about Civilization Revolution on the 360? I played that for a minute but it didn't get it's hooks
in me like XCOM has. I just love the way I control my squad and how you need to manage your finances and the whole global terror meta game is really fun and addicting. I also love the perma death of squad mates and how you can paint yourself into a corner
if you don't plan ahead correctly and lose the game that way. It's just such a fun and addicting game. Are you saying Civ Rev is like that? I only played the first 5 or so minutes. If so, I need to retry.

Unless you can somehow convince Microsoft to add kb/m support for games probably not.

  9. No, but they fall under the same genre. Obviously, if you are looking for a more combat-oriented ones, Civ only has it in spades. I just thought i would pass along because i was in the same boat as you. I wanted to play RTS games but i'm horrible at them.
Then i played XCOM and found out i really like the turn-based variants and started playing Civ as well.

XCOM is mostly about the conflict--Civ is more about building a civilization, diplomacy, and possibly some sort of conflict. But it is turn-based jsut like XCOM so you can take as long as you need to do what you want. And yeah, I was referencing Civ Rev.

  10. Nice. I need to retry Civ Rev. I guess the combat mixed with the resource management is what I love so much about XCOM. The turned based combat keeps me engaged and makes the other decisions you make seem more meaningful. Civ Rev just seemed like a point
and click adventure. But on your recommendation, I'm gonna give it another go. The strategy stuff is engaging as well. The mixture of the 2 is what XCOM does so well and what I'm looking for, I guess. Wish I could find more games that play similarly.

Would it change anything if the Xbox was compatible with USB keyboards?

  12. I'm sure it's possible, but I believe it wouldn't sell that well. RTS's should really be played on PCs in my opinion. I'm sure some would welcome it, but many people would stick to the PC version.
