Will I be able to buy the lego skywalker saga on Xbox and also play it on my PC without purchasing another copy?

no, as it is not play anywhere, on pc you would have to purchase from steam or possibly GOG when released (£39.99 standard or 49.99 deluxe). it is not going to be available in the windows store.

As per checking the game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere game which means that you need to purchase a copy on Xbox and on PC if you would like to play the game on both platforms.

If you purchase the game on Xbox console you can only play it on your Xbox and you need to purchase another copy for PC.

I had already tried a new windows install, and with a different user. The result was the same.

As asked, i have submitted this problem through the Xbox App on December 16th with the title:
