    It is supposed to be possible to play this on an original xbox 360, but I can't get it to work. Says it is unable to do updates.

    Any ideas that might help?

    Surely the hard drive will be official as it came with the console, never heard of emulators files.

    How do you check that the harddrive is original, it just clips onto the side of the console?

    Is the Xbox connected to the internet. On top of needing an official hard drive you need access to Xbox Live to download an optional media update.

    Original Xbox games will only work if you have an official Xbox 360 hard drive installed. It is necessary to have the drive due to the fact that the drive has the emulator files on it. Without the drive, the games wont work.

    Do you have another 360 that you can test this on. Im thinking maybe something could be wrong with the disc itself?
