Star Wars: KOTOR (on demand Xbox classic game) won't download to my 360...

Since KOTOR is an XBox original game your only option is to download to the official MS hard drive if you want to play the game. There is firmware built into the internal hard drive that allows you to play XBox original games. So using other storage is
not an option for this game.

 

Im using original 20gb disc that I bought with 360 arcade in 2010 and have same issue with downloading. Game purchased in Polish xbox marketplace with polish currency so its in my region.

 

Right i never thought about that which goes to show you more that the supervisor really didnt know what he was talking about. I do kinda wonder though if you have an original hard drive in system wouldnt that be able to use the files for emulation and then
read from another hard drive/thumb drive

 

So I tried to be helpful and figure out what I could since I have a surplus of systems available at my disposal.

I tried downloading the game on my Xbox One over wireless. Succeeded first try.

Tried it on my 360 over wireless. Corrupted download.

Tried it on second 360 over wireless. Corrupted download.

Tried it on third 360 over wireless. Corrupted download.

Tried it on second Xbox One over wireless. Success first try.

Tried wired on my 360's. Corrupted.

Tried various ethernet cables on my 360's. Corrupted.

Tried taking out HDD and replacing. Corrupted.

Tried clearing caches and repeating previous steps. Corrupted.

Tried kerjiggering with my internet settings and then retried all of the above. Results:

Worked first try on the One

Never worked on the 360.

My suspicion is that they borked the download package in some fashion that's preventing it from installing on the 360. I'm not quite sure how they pulled it off since I've heard no complaints about the same thing happening with Ninja Gaiden Black and other
games they beefed up for the Xbox One BC program.

 

Hey guys, I've been talking to @XboxSupport on twitter the past couple of days. They finally said that "it's currently being investigated."

They seem to be looking into the issue, or at least they say they are. I requested a refund in the meantime. If the game gets fixed, I'll gladly repurchase. I suggest all of you do the same!

 

It seems to have disappeared off of the UK store.

 

Hey all,

We believe this issue is now resolved. Please try to uninstall any copy on the hard drive. It might show up as "Unknown Game" at around 3.8GB. Then try to re-download it again from the store. Please let us know if this works and if you're seeing the Game
Art in My Games.

ya apparetly it has started to work now according to ppl i been talking to on trueachievements. Wish i didnt have to redownload it but what can you do. Thank you so much for fixing the issue and a lot quicker then i thought it would take.

 

for some reason the game is off the market but i went to download history and started the download from there cross fingers this works. has anyone played much fow is the performance ive heard not that great from disc so hoping this plays better but will
probably be the same

Same issue here! When I contacted support they actually told me that I was the first person to complain about it and until they had a higher volume of complaints they wouldn't even look into the issue!
