Star Wars: KOTOR 2 The Sith Lords download corrupt on 360

I recently purchased Star Wars: knights of the old republic 2 the Sith lords on the 360 from the marketplace. I wish I would have read online more.

The download was broken in 2017, and fixed nov 2, 2017.

It is broken again. I contacted support and they blamed the current Xbox live service alert, but this download is simply broken. It's too much of a coincidence that the same exact circumstances surround each issue with this game.

It will download 100% to the HDD, but the file is corrupt. I've tried all the troubleshooting fixes, nothing works. When it finishes downloading, a notification pops up that simply says "can't download KOTOR 2". That's it.

Why Microsoft? Why?

I left my case open with support, but highly doubt I'll see a solution to this.

The most sad part: KOTOR 1 works PERFECTLY (very slight frame rate issues)

Just a thought. I would love to see Star Wars KOTOR II: The Sith Lords be backwards compatible on Xbox One

 

Corrupt files happen when a download is constantly interrupted by your network. The start stop process or the delayed download and the constant restart sometimes has its affect on the file. If it takes too long to download that's the first sign. 360 games
are small it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to download. The slight frame rate issues in Kotar 2 that is also a network issue. So all that you described adds up to a network issue. Try these trouble shooting steps and try downloading again.

Downloading issues for 360. If that doesn't work you would have to contact the developer for issues with their game.

 

Same problem here, my internet is fine everything works perfectly on my ps4, ps3, pc, or any other game ive downloaded on my 360 its just this game.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Also with Battlefront 2. Asked for help, the network was blamed. Was told to use a wired connection, does exactly the same thing. Anyone notice the problem ones (besides being all LucasArts) are listed as Xbox 360 games
when downloading,whereas older Xbox original games are listed as Xbox originals? I want this sorted and not fobbed off.

 

I've had the exact same issues. Tried all the steps from the website. Connection is fine, but tried to wire it also. Extremely disappointed. Ordered game from gamestop and asked for a refund

 

I've tried to claim a refund but I'm getting messed around.

 

I was making room on my one for 3 upcoming games, so i was deleting xbox originals and 360 games from it and downloading them onto the 360 which also has a 2tb ext hard drive attached.

I ran into this problem with kotor 2 and splinter cell blacklist, but after a couple tries blacklist downloaded, however i tried at least 14 times with kotor 2, and they all failed on the 360. The one, i tried several times and they worked every single time
(i deleted and redownloaded). For some reason this game is just broken on the 360.

my support email took about a week and they said they fixed it. But by that time i had already done a workaround by just keeping kotor 2 on my one, and deleting a different 360 game from my one's hard drive and downloading it on the 360.

If someone could check again on the kotor 2 download and let me know if microsoft support was just BS'ing me or if they actually fixed it, let me know. i wont have internet in a few days and want to move kotor 2 to the 360 so that it can join the other kotor
game on the hard drive.

 

No its still not working. I've tried everything Microsoft have recommended but the install won't get past 80%. Same with Battlefront II.

 

i think the problem is that its trying to download the xbox one version. The sizes are different between the systems for the same game. Thats just a theory though. It isnt a good one because alot of games download just fine. I got battlefront 2 on my xbox
one just fine, but when i just tried to download it on the 360, it failed as well. Thanks for verifying that microsoft support was just bs'ing me though.

 

also, battlefront one & Jedi academy is broken as well. Im guessing starfighter is too, but i dont have that one.

Has anyone who encountered this problem purchased the games from the xbox 360 dash instead of the microsoft store on xbox one or the website? Because if it works from the xbox 360 store then that might be the reason why. All it would take is a refund to microsoft
store credit and just repurchase from the 360 store instead of the website or xbox one store.

 

I keep getting told its my fault, because of my internet connection, but i know people with superfast broadband who have the exact same problem.

 

yeah i know i just got that email too. "Try connecting to xbox live some other way". same BS excuse so that they dont have to get off their metaphorical butts and do something helpful.
