    Star Wars bf2 times out on opening screen


    Just like the title suggests, Star Wars battlefront two from the Ea Access wont launch from opening screen, All my other games work on my External drive, and I have tried hard resetting as well as wiping the reserve space for the game, have reinstalled several
    different times with no luck.... lame as hell just wanna play this, Anyone have any ideas??

    Hi ODG Deviate,

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue.

    While the Xbox is on, go ahead and do a
    hard restart and power cycle to the console.
    Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds or until it shuts down. Once the Xbox is off, remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 5 minutes. Then re-connect and wait 60 seconds before turning on the Xbox. Holding
    down the power button on the console to force a shutdown is an important step.

    If that doesn't help then you will need to try out a
    soft factory reset    .
    1. Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the guide.
    2. Scroll to the right and select System > Settings > System > Console info.
    3. Select Reset console.
    Make sure to select "Keep my games & apps" and have the correct account login information plus your Wi-Fi password ready if you connect wireless because you will need to re-add the accounts that were on the Xbox and re-connect to your network during the
    reset.

    Give those steps a try, especially the soft factory reset, and then let us know if that helps!

    BF2 is backwards compatible, but they removed the original xbox game live servers like 4 years ago or so.

    lucas arts hasn't had a good star wars game in years, evidenced by force unleashed fail. the only remotely good star wars game that made money was the mmo KOTOR

    If you pre-ordered digitally you can just search for Battlefront II in the store and select the beta to download it.
