Star Wars Battlefront won't download on 360

I bought Battlefront 2 and Kotor II on my 360 last week and the both work beautifully. I decided to pick up the original Battlefront today so I could play it with my dad like we used to. It downloads to 80% and stops every time. It says can't download Star
Wars Battlefront. I go to the hard drive and it's corrupted. My internet is just fine, I reset it, I cleared my hard drive cache, deleted and redownloaded, etc. Nothing works and I'm getting angry. Why isn't this working?

Personally, I haven't seen anything about that anywhere else, but you would have to contact support for more information.

That's usually the sign of a region issue. Does your account region match your physical location?

 

Hello, did you find out what was causing this? I have the very same issue. I tried downloading both Battlefront and Battlefront 2 and both stop at 80% claiming that they're corrupted. My region settings are correct.

 

I have the same issue, it gets to 80% then jumps to 100% and says it couldn't download, then there's a corrupted file in the harddrive. I'm also downloading it from the correct region.

 

OK so I have an update. After a long time troubleshooting with microsoft they have now admited that there is a issue on there end with the installtion files. They have refunded me for now so I suggest you all do the same. once they come back to me and
advise that the issue is fixed i'll try to purchase again and update this post.

 

Good, because the support keeps giving me the run around. I told them I did everything that's suggested for this issue and they said they'd email me within 24 hours to figure out the problem. That was Saturday, I JUST got the email and they're telling
me that I need to have an official xbox 360 hard drive. I KNOW THIS, I HAVE THREE OTHER ORIGINAL XBOX GAMES RUNNING ON MY 360. Holy hell, fix the damn problem and stop outsourcing me to people who can barely put together an English sentence.

 

The real hero right here! I couldn't even get through to support, they'd call me and not say anything for 20 seconds then hang up. The hell is that? Trying to get a refund now. All I wanted to do was play OG battlefront

 

Im getting the same issue but with Battlefront II

 

As i said in my orignal post, this is happening on both battlefront 1and 2. I have also since tried downloading Jedi Academy and have the same issue. They do all work on the Xbox One but not on the 360.

 

I've tried again today and still can't download Battlefront. Xbox live status is all green but still no joy. Hopefully gets sorted soon.

 

On Microsoft's end, the download should be flagged as "Xbox Originals" game, not "Xbox 360 game". If an original Xbox game is coming up as "Xbox 360 Game" in the download list or Xbox Live Marketplace, it'll corrupt. Hopefully this'll be resolved for good,
it's been happening on and off for many of the titles from the October and April 2018 batch of games.

 

Fyi when we say your accountregion must match your actual region we really mean it

So us foreign bases dont actual.count as the us nor does puerto rico or guam

You must use your actual region

So if its japan you must use that region

If you have lets say yout actual region is france but you have console region and language region to uk that wont work

Account region + actual region and console region must match

Region and language independence is only an xbox one feature not a bc featuee

 

I know. Mine shows as xbox 360 game.
