    Star Wars Battlefront will not Install


    I am having an issue where Star Wars Battlefront (physical copy) will not finishing installing. The installer always gets to 20% before stopping. First I tried power cycling the system. Next I uninstalled another game to see if that would change anything.
    I tried clearing the alternate Mac Address as well. After many attempts I decided to just reset my console to factory defaults. Surely this would fix any weird bug that was stalling the installation?

    Unfortunately none of these methods work and the game would always get stuck at 20%. My Xbox is up to date. The disc is perfectly clean, I even went over it with a microfiber cloth to ensure that any dirt that may have been on there is removed. To double check
    it wasn't my drive/laser, I uninstalled and reinstalled another disc based game and had no issues what so ever.

    What could be the problem here? Is it a bug with the OS itself? Could my disc have been manufactured incorrectly? I have seen others report issues installing Halo 5 and Black Ops III. Is there any sort of solution to this? I spent all night trying to get
    this game to work and really just want to know how I can start playing.

    Star Wars Battlefront will not Install

    Personally i'd get a replacement disc.

    Just because you can't see any marks on the disc doesn't mean there might not be an issue with it.

    Hey Nesboy,

    Is also worth trying an offline installation. Same thing happened to me with Black Ops 3 and it solved the problem.

    Go to the game and stop and remove any installation, and take the disc out. Then go to your network settings, and go offline. Then put the disc back in, and try installing it that way. Once it gets to 100%, and is completed, then you can go back online.

    Hopefully that helps Star Wars Battlefront will not Install :)

    I love Star Wars, can't wait to play Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order. Also liked Star Wars Battlefront, although it deserved a single player campaign, as in Star Wars Battlefront II.
