    Star Wars Battlefront II - Games w/Gold - 2005 Edition


    I am posting this due to seeing quite a few Twitter questions and forum questions regarding the Star Wars Battlefront II that is free as a Games with Gold selection this month. While I have not personally been able to download it from the store yet, reviewing
    the GwG video for April New Games and looking at the display of the icon this is the 2005 edition of Star Wars Battlefront II.

    This is not the EA Dice version that was released in 2017.

    The game is still great and awesome that it is free with games with gold, but I know many were expecting the 2017 version.

    The April Fools part is that many people think this is the more recent Star Wars Battlefront II and they are not noticing the Xbox Logo and do not remember the older Star Wars Battlefront II. I think there is going to be some disappointment.
    Back in the day (2005), that was The game. Many will tell you it is the real and only Star Wars Battlefront II...it still has a player base today…

    Just be patient and it will be available.

    The game Star Wars: Battlefront II is clearly announced in the GWG as a retrocompatible title, so there is no way to confuse.

    I don't think anyone has been able to download "Star Wars Battlefront II" for the OG Xbox yet. It has yet to be released as free to Gold subscribers, but it will hopefully be released very soon. Until then, it's best to wait until it does. Everyone who
    wants it will be able to claim it with plenty of time to spare.

    I have been playing videogames for a while, and for me it is the best star wars battlefront of all series. I think that backwards compatibility games it a great way to discober old games for new gamers and rembember old times for old school gamers. Enjoy
