Star Wars Battlefront: Great Game or Great Gimmick?

Great game. Proper barebones, old school shooter. The lack of Custom/Private match is a it of a bummer, but well worth it.

Now that I think about it Gears and Halo have even removed some things to make the game better. New Gears has less weapons and Halo at one point had a popular game mode called "Bare Bones"

I absolutely hate this game but I did smile tonight when I got a double kill by randomly throwing a thermal detonator over a hill.

The game and visuals look excellent, when driving that thingy through the forests or flying aircraft in what looks like realistic skies and scenery. Not many games currently on Xbox 1 come as close or have that sort of enjoyment/thing in it. Plus according
to the case, it supports up to 40 in multiplayer. Halo 5 and Forza 6 (both natively 1080p 60fps and exclusives to Xbox) are limited to 24 player lobbies. The Main Menu looks really plain though. I might play some more of it over the weekend. I'd say it feels
fun too. Even though I'm not really a Star Wars fan, the content in the game is fabulous.

Looks like there'll be more free dlc on top of the Jakku map & "turning point" mode which is out next week for people who pre-ordered.

The game is fun and I like that anyone can play and still get kills. I don't think every shooter should have PRO only . This game is grreat for bullet sponges such as myself.

EA is really starting to improve themselves, when they release their games, they don't come out broken like they used to.

There is some serious LAG at times, shot someone 'till weapon overheated. He then killed me but was still on 100% health.
