Star Wars Battlefront: Great Game or Great Gimmick?

Who cares? refusing a game because it's 720p is just plain stupid. I don't know what resolution it is, all I know is it looks great and is a lot of fun.

 

wasn't going to bother with it but ive got some money coming for my birthday on sunday so will prob pick it up

 

You can't have private matches, why try and say it does? coop isn't a private match, its coop, if the opposition are invited its not a private match.

Of course it's a private match.

There's survival where you & a friend play 15 rounds fight of various enemies while securing drop pods every 4th round.

Then theres the battle modes where you can fight AI yourself or it's you Vs a friend.

In these modes it's just you or you & a friend so they are private games,no one uninvited can join.

 

So far my favorite game mode is Hero vs Villain. I'm pretty much the worst as Boba Fett though. I always accidentally launch myself with the left trigger because I'm so conditioned to think it's to aim down the sights lol

 

If you talking about a game where the main function of the game is one side of human players shooting the other side of human players, and someone asks is there private matches they are talking about the main premice of the game.

I understand there are ways to play privately, that isn't my issue, however theres nothing better in FPS's to set up a game where you can shoot each other, it was a massive issue with Titanfall not having it, and who included it later, I was just bemused
to find it not included at launch in battlefront.

 

You can have a vs match against your mates in the "Missions" section Enen. Just select Battle or Hero Battle mode.

I think what you're after though is a way have a match where you and a bunch of mates can fight against each other in a private game that no outside party can influence?

That's not really necessary and kind of like insisting on a 'counter-clockwise stir' for your cup of tea.

Again you can have private matches.

Just not the specific variant you personally want yourself.

Silly reason to miss out on a great game.

 

Seems you put two and two together and red what you wanted into it.

 

Seems EA and DICE put together a great experience that those who are playing are loving it and enjoying it.

I just got the game today from JB Hi Fi. It's still installing. The game looks fun and pretty. And to be honest, there isn't many games on Xbox 1 which offer flying ships/aircraft over amazing scenery. The game is also cheaper than COD BO3. In NZ, JB Hi
Fi sells COD BO3 for $92 and Star Wars Battlefront for only $89. I read the case Players Xbox Live 2-40. Not just 24 like in Forza 6. I feel that there has been a lot of hype about the game. I haven't tried the Beta. I'll be back in an hour or so to share
my 1st impressions of it.

 

I also bought this in Aus from target for $64, Installed though I'm yet to play it since Blops 3 was double xp the last 3 days. I'll try it tonight, I hear it's quite "light" for people that play allot of BF/COD, that's fine by me as long as I'm immersed
in star wars.

 

I haven't been on the forums since I started playing this game on EA Access. I have 51 hours played on my other account, unlocked 25 achievements and I haven't even done all the Battle's nor have I started the Survival missions. Well worth my money so far.

I enjoy everything about the game and I am not really a big Star Wars fan TBH. But...I would like to point out that I DON'T play many shooters online anymore. I've never played Battlefield 4 or Hardline...I haven't played Call of Duty since Black Ops 2 and
that was just a little bit of split screen with my brother.

I love this game for what it is...a FUN online shooter that takes place in an awesome familiar fictional universe. It doesn't try to be cool with neon colored gun skins...or HARDCORE super solider simulator. If the price is what putting you off of this game
I would still highly recommend you get it on sale.
