star wars battlefront 2 original won't work on my 360

hi there

at the beginning of this week, i purchased star wars battlefront 2 (the original one) of the xbox store on my 360. at the time i didn't get the chance to try downloading it, so i had to wait until saturday. once it finally finished downloading, i eagerly
went to play it. only to discover it won't work. it get the "can not start noe, please download the game again" or whatever it actually says error message

now i have an official hard drive (i'm 90% sure of that), and i bought it off the games store, so no physical copy issues. nothing in the support post for the error worked to fix it(and i tried most of what i could, short of getting a new hard drive, which
i do not have money for), and now as of the time that i am writing this, i am redownloading it to see if that was my problem, as the first time i downloaded it my xbox had to be restarted a couple of times for various reasons.

now this ticks me off on multiple levels, but mostly because i payed 10 of my hard earned dollars for it and it doesn't even work. i would very much like help in getting the issue resolved so that i can actually use the product i bought
