Star Wars Battlefront 2 getting 0x80040900

Hello. I just tried playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the first time in like half a year and I keep getting 0x80040900 when i try to play online. I've done the hard re-start of the Xbox a few times. that did not work. I tired reinstalling the game and
a factory reset and i still get 0x80040900.

I havent been ablw to play swbf2 In weeks because of this. Ive tried uninstalling the game and re Installing and they didnt work. I tried playing a game In arcade and then attempting online and that didnt work. I also did a hard reatart. Nothing works.
Help me

Try to do a Factory Reset and choose
keep all games and apps option to not delete your games installed.

Thanks so much for keeping us updated. Since the game that you have is on a disc and you've tried other troubleshooting steps, you may wish to try something a bit different that should help you out. Sometimes there can be an issue when installing a game
from a disc while the console is online as the game will attempt to update the game at the same time as installing it.

First you'll want to uninstall Star Wars Battlefront 2 from your console again.

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide, then select My games & apps and then
   See all.
2. Select Games.
3. Highlight the game you want to uninstall, press the Menu button, and then select
   Manage game.
4. Select Manage all, select Uninstall all, and then select
   Uninstall.

Next you need to place your console into Offline Mode.

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings.
3. Choose Network.
4. Select Network settings > Go offline.

Once in Offline Mode, insert the disc into your console and allow it to complete installing. As an extra precaution, prior to doing this, you may wish to sign out of your profile to ensure the console is fully offline. Once the installation completes, put
your console back online, then sign back into your profile. This should allow the game to get updated. It is recommended that you allow the game to fully update prior to attempting to play.

Try reinstall the game and try clearing cache. Put
your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
After trying this, reinstall the game.
It may work for you .

 

I have been having same problem since Sunday 11/25/2018. I downloaded the game from xbox store not from disk and after trying the power down method I still cannot play a online game. I have not tried uninstalling the game then reinstalling the game yet in
hope that this problem can be fixed with a patch or hot patch. My nephew has same problem as I do. We both live in different parts of Ohio in case that matters.
