    My star wars 360 has developed a strange fault the fan gets extremely loud when the hdmi or av cable is plugged in its not the fan as it has been replaced with a new one and it runs silently when the cables are not connected any help would be greatly appreciated

    connecting xbox one to pc monitor with sound

    it does come with hdmi, but theres no extension from the hdmi to plug into the speakers. the HD-AV cable had that expension.

    360 s won't pick up wifi signal when hdmi is plugged in?

    Hey guys, I am having trouble connecting to my wifi when I have my hdmi plugged into the 360.

    I have no problem locating (and connecting to) my wifi when my standard AV cables are plugged in however I purchased an HDMI cable yesterday to take full advantage of the new hd tv I have just purchased however when I have this plugged in, my 360 cannot
    find any wifi networks.

    Please help?

    How was the fan replaced? If it was not done by official Xbox support then there is nothing that anyone here can do to help you as self repair is not allowed.

    You cannot plug in both the old av cable and an hdmi cord - the 360 will only use one. The old av cord will block the hdmi from even being plugged in.

    But, when you buy your Microsoft HDMI cable, it will come with an adapter that allows you to plug a separate sound device into your 360. Only
    official Microsoft cables come with this.

    Depending on the price of the monitor, a television with a VGA port might be cheaper than a monitor with an HDMI port. Shop around.

    So just to summarize, the HDMI cable works when the AV cable is not plugged in, but when it is I get no signal.

    I tried this with my HP 2159m monitor and a Spilnter Cell Conviction 360. No issues. The thin AV adapter is plugged into the AV port and a regular HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI port on the monitor. I can flip to VGA and back to HDMI without causing
