star trek online bridge officers

When you are awarded a new and better officer (going by color) but your crew on your main ship is full do you have to dismiss one you are using to install the new one? Is there any way to save the old one or install him on another one of your ships?

It's essentially a crap online co-op shooter- think Gears but wearing (the crappy new) Star Trek skins.

A real Star Trek game (like Bridge Commander) would be incredible...

 

I don't know I'm guessing yes probably, or no then they probably just wait at Starfleet headquarters the big space station in the SOL system. Reason why I'm contradicting myself is I think it's a great question, but I haven't gotten that far to find out
myself as of yet. I guess if you don't like the outcome you could always start over, as I'm pretty sure(although a big maybe so think carefully before doing this) the story line and the officers it awards are the same.

 

Ok if you do find out I would be curious to know the answer, so let let me know and if any other STO player on here wants to know as well hopefully they can find this thread and find out.

 

If you want to equip a better bridge officer & don't have any free slots then you need to dismiss one of your other officers.Doing so will mean that officer is gone forever.

When you claim a new officer you just tell them "not now" if you can't or don't want to use them yet & they will sit in the "recruit officers " tab until you need them or you can sell them on the exchange.

You do unlock more bridge officer slots as you progress or you can buy some extra slots for zen on the c-store.
