star rank

Hi! I'm curious, I've been a star 2 for awhile now, was closing in on 3, and I've been downgraded to a 1. Am I seeing something wrong, or does it reset at the beginning of the year?

Chnages to myVIP rank

MyVIP rank changes daily, from $42 away from first star rank, to 51% complete towards the second star rank the next day. Then it changes back to $42 away from the first star rank on 3rd and keeps switching up like this daily. What is my actual star rank?

 

Problem with MyVIP Star Rank

MyVIP Star Rank was 95% with $56 until I got to a four star rank, but recently on May 18 I bought more games from the sales, which was way more than $56, that have been going on. I checked on my star rank today, and it is now 91% until I get to a four star
rank. I did not think buying games would cause my percentage to go down. Is something wrong with the star rank system? Thanks for your time!

 

Ranks reset each year, on January 1. You have to spend the same amount or more each year in order to either maintain your star level or rise to a higher level.
