    Standalone Mic for Xbox Series X|S


    I'm looking for a reasonable quality desktop microphone I can use with Xbox One Series X|S.

    I'm not interested in a headset as I don't like having things attached to my ears or head... I just want a mic with a stand that can sit on my desk for online gaming with the audio coming through my speakers.

    Are there any USB mics that work plugged into Xbox Series X|S, or do I have to look for 3.5mm jack mics and plug them into the gamepad?

    What I can tell you is that the Xbox Series S/X are compatible with USB microphones, but I cannot recommend a brand for you, as I cannot guarantee the quality and functioning of it for you, as there are many brands that market this type of product, I recommend that you see a list with the best USB microphones and list the best one for you, considering its price.

    No. The Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S consoles do not support those type of mics.

    I've got this on my series X too. Plays on my standalone player fine. Clearly a compatibility issue with the Xbox.

    Most likely an error on Game's website... it's still down i guess...

    The series X is:

    • 449£ for the Standalone.
    • 695£ in total for the one with 24 months of Game Pass Ultimate (All Access) (28.99£ pr. month of 24 months)

    And the series S is:

    • 249£ for the Standalone.
    • 504£ in total for the one with 24 months of Game Pass Ultimate (All Access) (20.99£ pr. month of 24 months)

    So the 24 months of Game Pass Ultimate will cost you around 250£ with All Access.

    No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

    The "One" and "Series" are the console types.
