    Stacking years of xbox live subscription


    previously I was able to use codes for a year of xbox live on top of a current subscription without a problem. for instance if I had a subscription that was started June of 2014 and lasted to June of 2015, if I added a code for another year of service,
    my subscription rolled over to last through 2016. I just found a deal on Live for a year and bought it and went to apply it to my already active Live subscription. When I entered the code, it told me I couldn't use that code yet and had to wait for my current
    subscription to expire before I could use it. That means I have to keep this small card around for the next 8 months without losing it and have to get the code entered prior to my auto-renewal which would charge my credit card. Am I missing something or
    did Microsoft revert to stupidity in this decision process?

    is there a tenure reset fix?

    Years on Xbox Live Profile was 5 years when you renew your subscription I can not find the number of years

    As far as I'm aware, you may still stack up to 36 months of LIVE subscriptions.

    12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription

    It will just be added to your current subscription, and stack. So in your case, should you do this, you will have a total of 16 months or so of Xbox Live Gold remaining. As previously stated you can stack up to 3 years of Xbox Live Gold.

    Just make sure that you are redeeming the Xbox Live Gold code on the account you wish it to be added to.
