Squiggly lines appearing during XBox games - Age of Empires: Definitive Edition

Anyone know why I'm getting squiggly lines running through my Age of Empire: Definitive Edition, it also
happened during my Minecraft game?

I'm running this on a Windows 10 laptop with decent specs, I've tried reinstalling, updated the Video card driver, my Java VM, reset my XBox environment (it wouldn't let me uninstall it), not sure what else to try.

Cannot login xbox after a recent windows update. Cannot login Age of empires definitive edition or Microsoft Solitaire games.

Hat mich 20€ gekostet und funktioniert nicht.

How many other games have the same issues?

Either there is something wrong with your PC or your graphics driver.

 

Yeah, it seems to be a problem with my NVIDIA GeForce 840M graphic card/driver, if I disable this it fixes the problem, neither updating the driver or rolling it back fixes the problem so, i might have to leave it disabled

 

I'm not sure what your specs are, but your GeForce 840M tells me that your device contains two GPU's. The dedicated Nvidia chip, plus the graphics hardware contained in the CPU. What exactly this is depends on your laptops' processor.

When using the laptop to browse the web, work a spreadsheet or watch a video, your laptop will use this basic GPU. This is by design, to save on battery power - but can be overridden.

When you run a game, Windows will switch to the dedicated GPU (in this case, the GeForce 840M), unless you override it. On a game like AOE, not using the 840M probably won't be much of a difference performance wise, but other more graphics heavy games are
going to be unplayable.

You're going to have to get this fixed if intend to play more advanced games.
