Square realizes people like JRPG's...finally?

You do realize a modern ballistic missile submarine can be over 500ft long and have 3 or 4 decks? I think in overall square-footage a Russian sub map would be bigger than nuketown in BO.

 

I Lol'd at the cut out comment! I have brought FF3 for the DS so I am playing that as we speak. Glad to hear none of them are connected though. I figured it wasn't until x and x-2 that they added sequels but you never know with early made games :/

Pretty fun so far I must say I am shocked. I also brought FF7 on my other laptop from squares site. £10 cannot go wrong! Either I am confused or they updated the graphics a little!

 

Just finished LRFFXIII on normal.

That last boss was blinking hard, got to him on my first play through, got owned so escaped and hit up New Game+, got to him again and still got owned, after about 10 attempts got my strategy right and 5 starred him on normal without any Ether.

I think I'll play another game for a week or so before hitting Hard Mode!

Anyone getting Drakengard 3 tomorrow?

 

Anyone play Tales of Vesperia? I'm trying to decide if I want it. It looks to be another level-grinding type game and I'm not sure I can handle any more of that.

Another issue I have with rpg's and jrpg's....why do they all have a final fantasy feeling? A group of teens, each with special abilities and weapons set upon a journey through troubled lands, fighting a myriad of creatures in a quest to defeat some bad
guy? Why?! WHY?!!

 

In my opinion all games have naff stories, but what do I know, I don't even read books, I have read one or two books in the last 25 years, I watch film and still don't like the stories they tell.

I play games for the gameplay and the art style rather than the stories...

 

Well I got the Mandragorer familiar in NNK. Yep....exciting moment...would be more exciting if I wasn't at the end of the game. Well he's cute for the 1-2 hours I'll have him in my possession.

It's my favorite game in the Tales series and one of my all time favorite games period. I'd recommend it but honestly, the vast majority of JRPGs (if not all of them) require some grinding for XP, money, etc, so if you do decide
to get Tales of Vesperia, just be aware that you will have to grind at some point.

I wish the PS3 version would be localized as it has more content.

Wilko, you didn't comment on my acquisition of the coveted Mandragorer.

My best familiars are a tag team combo that is just devastating: pyromander and najapatra...I switch between them and they do hundreds of points damage per second. It's really great. Sometimes I throw in my tiny Turban Legend for some spells. Sure, I
could have gone with the top ten best familiars ever list, but....well I didn't find this list until I'd already raised all my baby familiars and by then I really didn't want to switch.

Well I'd be finishing my game tonight, but I'm going on a trip to visit my mother who lives in the "remote mountains of Colorado" (sound familiar anyone?)

 

I'm afraid I don't really know the names of different types of familiars, I chose my familiars on nothing but how cool they look, all of mine are varying shades of blue and most look relatively evil lol...
