Spotify's volume on Xbox One is WAY too loud

I've encountered this disagreement when I first listened to music while playing,

Although I've set Spotify's volume to the minimum in the Xbox menu display (at 5%), it's still way louder than the game's music sounds etc.

I've checked and my ingame settings are correctly set to the maximum output for all volumes.

It seems Spotify's output is just way too loud from the beginning, and I can't find any other setting to tune it down, apart from the one in the Xbox menu that I already set before.

Anybody knows if it's possible to reduce even more Spot's volume, so that it really is a background music while I play and not a covering music instead?

Welcome to the “loudnes wars”, where everything is mixed as loud as possible, and compressed all to hell so it doesnt distort at the expense of fidelity.

Nothing we can do. Microsoft has to fix this issue. IMO the best would be to be able to +5/-5 with D-Pad and +1/-1 with right stick or select the volume slider then left stick. But as it is now 1% would still be too loud lol. I hope it gets fixed very
quick. On PS4 this isn't an issue anymore.

I don't know why they changed it, now I have to pause my music just to hear game sound. And what is the point in having a slider if 5% is way too loud anyway lmao

YES! exactly like its so loud i have to wear earphones under my headphones and play it from my phone its the only way to balance it.

If you mean the previews of games in the store and sponsored dashboard ads, I agree they are way too loud. There should be a volume setting for that. Actually maybe there should be a overall dashboard volume setting.
