spotify/pandora not working while streamingto laptop.

hello not sure if this is a wide spread thing,but while streaming with the latest xbox update spotify and pandora refuse to play music while streaming from my xbox one S to my laptop.noting short of rapid firing the play button on another device will get
it to play any form of music and thats if you get lucky and get it to work.can someone please help me out,do i need another app on the xbox to do it while streaming now,as i have no other way to be on xbox live most of the time.

just to be sure, with the latest update do you mean latest official release or the latest Xbox Insider release?

Hello Gaming,

The only two that will work in background is spotify or pandora. There used to be a function that could play in background but unfortunately don't work any longer. Try these two apps and see if you get the same issue.

At some point Spotify will make a web player that doesn't require Adobe Flash. So, you'll be able to bring it up in the browser and pin it to your start screen. You can do that with Pandora now, and it works great.

I really wish Spotify was coming to the Xbox One, I'm a long time subscriber, and it's much better than Pandora.

The fact that the music app has to be snapped while playing is an inconvenience too, it takes up part of my screen, so I don't even use it.

This is really the only flaw i've encountered with the Xbox One.

awesome, i've wanted to do something like that for awhile, i mean spotify and pandora are cool, but if i could do my own mp3s i'd have a great playlist, thanks for the info.
