Spotify background music problem

Spotify work, specify app Background music work. That must be some mistake with you. So just return the XBOX to the factory settings.

I have same problem with you,but I serched on internet and knew that we would convert the Spotify Music to MP3/WAV/FLAC etc and then add to xbox .I would recommend this Spotify
Music Converter which solved my problem.

There are other apps that support background music besides Spotify though.

According to this site, VLC, Groove, iheartradio, and Pandora support the feature. Additionally, there is the Simple Background Music Player app that lets allows for playback from USB devices.

That app plays audio files in both M4A and MP4 formats, in addition to MP3, WMA, and FLAC.

In regards to Groove, it doesn't sound like you can stream anymore.

"We’ll continue to update the Windows 10 Groove Music apps for PC, Xbox, and Windows Phone so you can play your purchased music. On December 31, 2017, the option to stream, purchase, and download music from Groove Music was discontinued. If
your purchased music was downloaded, you’ll still be able to listen to it."

So you are wondering if there is a headset available that can connect to the Xbox for gameplay audio, and also connect to another device for music audio? I'm not aware of such a headset being available, but I don't see it as impossible. For now, I can recommend

Xbox one has the
Background music feature to allow the use of certain music streaming apps, like Pandora and Spotify, to continue playing music during gameplay.

I mostly play minecraft with spotify in the background. I've heard the in game music and sfx a million times and there isn't any talking or any cutscenes in minecraft so I won't miss much.
