Sports Gaming on Xbox One

So I enjoy sports titles. Had plenty of classics to play on my 360, old and new. On the Xbox One, I have 2k14, and although its a good game, I would love another option. I also own a PS4, and will be picking up MLB the show, and it got me thinking why there
is no NFL the show running on xbox one, or any popular sports title. I would of course prefer football though, but I really hope to see some sort of exclusive sports title built from the ground up with the detail of MLB the show. Besides horrible EA sports
titles, there really isnt many options for sports gaming, and multiplayer competition. Either way, I dont think sports gaming can be entrusted with EA, and 2k is all about basketball.

It's turned into a sport of its own just like today's sports turned into "sports" years ago. Major League Gaming for example hosts very large events, which puts Pro gamers up against each other. So yeah, it's definitely a thing. It's also LAN events, not
on Xbox LIVE.

The problem for me with Sports Gaming is that it`s the same generic Consistency your always going to expect. OBVIOUSLY. It`s a sports game, I know but how many FIFA (video game series) can they make, They have already made 21 Football games if you include
the Sega Genesis + Sega CD

 

Well, EA has either bought exclusive licenses for the sport, or like with FIFA, use their money-power to get all of the league licenses while PES can't do so. They haven't made a baseball game in years, and they may as well quit making basketball games,
because 2K has bested them there.

 

I only buy sports title every two years for the reasons PR1NCE DARKNESS mentioned. I'll buy NBA 2K one year, then Madden NFL the next, then NBA and so on.

 

I really hate every about EA and avoid their games when ever possible.

Just my luck they have now got the UFC license, one of my favourite sports,and i am sure they will totally ruin it.

I am glad its only coming to xbox one,so i don`t have to be tempted to buy it.

 

Madden used to be good and the NCAA football games are being made anymore if I recall correctly. My favorite sports series is MLB The Show. Never played FIFA or 2K Sports baseball games.

 

I would love an NFL 2K game but EA doesn't seem to want any kind of competition, so they'll continue to pay for exclusivity until the NFL tells them otherwise. Sony owns first-party rights to MLB games, so you won't see MS making one. They also don't seem
very interested in making a sports game, save for NFL Fever back in the day.

 

NCAA 14 was the best football game ever made.Too bad Madden stinks.The fat man needs to change his tidy whiteys cause they aint so tidy anymore.

 

I would like to see a new Tiger Woods on X1. The franchise went a bit stale for me from about 2011, so I haven't really played it much since then. Having bought the game probably every year prior to this I would love to get back into it with a new game on
X1.

 

EA and Tiger Woods have parted ways so if theres a new golf it wont be a Tiger game.They havent made a solid golf game since 2005 .

 

Didn't realise EA and Tiger Woods had parted ways, I agree the series had gone downhill in recent years. Must have been a great cash cow for EA, so I wonder if they have any plans for the future?
