    Splitting Xbox Account from a Microsoft Account?


    How would one split an Xbox account from a Microsoft account?

    I don't mean deleting either of them, but to Put the Xbox account on a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT Microsoft account. (Not changing e-mails.)

    For example,"Person"A" was using "Person B's" Microsoft account for an Xbox account. Later on, "Person A" realized that they should have made their own account, instead of using "Person B's".

    If I could get some help on this, it would be very nice. Splitting Xbox Account from a Microsoft Account? :)

    unfortunately you can't separate an Xbox profile from a Microsoft account.

    changing the email or removing Person B's email from the Xbox profile could result in the permanent deletion of Person B's Microsoft account.

    Person A would need to create their own Xbox account and start again.

    this would mean that all progress in games is gone.

    but if any games, apps or subscriptions were bought using Person B's account/profile they can still be used by Person A if Person B makes the Xbox their Home Xbox.

    just to add, the reason you cannot remove the Xbox account is that IS the Microsoft account, the Microsoft account covers lots of services from Microsoft and obviously they cannot be removed or split as it is just ONE account.
