splitscreen on halo 5?

on halo 5 or just the xbox one in general, is there still a splitscreen mode so me and my son can play co-op campaign... playing live/online or not isn't a concern

Halo 5 doesn't support splitscreen play but The Master Chief Collection does so will every upcoming Halo like Halo 6 will support it.

HALO 5 is an XBOX One exclusive. No there is no split screen option in HALO 5. It states that on the package and has been a hotly debated issue in the forums for months!

 

I just have to add to this issue. The entire reason I play Halo over any other franchise is because of the split-screen co-op! BRING IT BACK!!!! BRING IT BACK!!!!!! All of my friends want to do the same. I want to be in the same room as my friends when we
play! My bachelor party was a bunch of guys around having pizza and playing Halo locally! To not have this is a crime against the franchise!

 

I was terribly disappointed, this is a full price game, not only did it take 6 hours to download WITH A DISK but it has NO SPLIT SCREEN!!! And saying "It's on the package" doesn't mean that the package makes any sense. "1 Player X Box, 2-16 Player X Box
Live" I get what it means now, but why doesn't it just say "1 Player local only, co-op and multiplayer over the internet only." That makes a lot more sense to me. It is completely out of character for the franchise BRING IT BACK!!!!!

 

Wish I would have read that it didn't have the split screen, just assumed since all the other ones did and I don't normally look up games before they come out. My fault. Will not buy any more of this series unless they bring it back. Was the only series
my husband and I enjoyed playing together... In the same house... On the same console. Bring back split screen.

 

Yes. This is a major let down. I can't tell you how many times I enjoyed coming home from a hard days work to walk into my house and see my boys and their friends all playing Halo together and bonding as friends and enemies. The point was they were TOGETHER
playing, laughing and joking each other. THAT IS WHAT GAMING IS ABOUT. Now one kid has to go home to play, one son has to go to his room and another has to go do something else cause he can't afford his own Xbox or a computer that can connect!! This
is NOT the way it SHOULD be. Who ever decided to get rid of this feature needs to be tar, feathered and FIRED! It is bad enough the Xbox one does not support very simple things like Xbox 360 controllers or the Kinetic, but to break up game play for Halo
is just plain STUPID.

 

I was disappointed too.. hope they bring it back. i heard they are for halo 6.. because the story mode was a cliff hanger and no split screen, it was big let down. i have a hard time playing it, it makes me so upset i can't bring my friends over and have
a party day on the xbox one. hurts xbox console sales because they refuse to buy it because of this reason. Not buying the next one until it shows me more. other then that, its a game so try to have fun with it, if you can. online is sortof fun.. i got into
for awhile but battlefront, battle field 4, hardline and COD BO's 3 drags me in. I need to force myself to get back into halo to get my gear up with its random slot machine. cool thing is it does have forge now very happy about that. again i need to force
