Split screen minecraft won't work. Xbox series S

Requirements:

1. HD TV resolution: You need a TV that supports at least 720p and is connected via HDMI.

2. Additional controllers: Each player must have their own controller connected to the console.

3. Account setup: Each player must sign in with an Xbox account. If they do not have one, they can create a free account.

Steps to join:

- Create or load a world.

- Once inside the world, turn on the second controller and press the "Start" button (or the equivalent) so the second player can join the game.

Are you getting any errors when following the steps to play local multiplayer?

Just got an xbox one s and im trying to play multiplayer split screen in minecraft. I can not get the second controller to sync

If you're trying to play split-screen,you'll need your Xbox to be in high definition.You either need the red/blue/green/red/white cables or a HDMI cable.For some reason Minecraft won't let you play split-screen multiplayer in
standard definition.

I have an Xbox series S…I’ve only tried split screen on this game, my son is getting into Star Wars…I adjust the video output to all available options and then also tried clearing the ‘alternate MAC address’ that was suggested by another post I saw. I don’t have another split screen game downloaded, but the rest of battlefront works fine. Thanks for your response! My son and I really hope we can get it to work!

I can't get my split screen to work on my console and I have the disc of minecraft if that has a different I have all the things that u need to do split screen but it will not work what can I do?
