Split screen grey bar?

Just bought the game, very pleased considering its the first version on a new console with enhanced size, but as soon I went to play split screen with my GF who has her own gold account, a very annoying grey bar popped up quarter way up the screen, my
immediate thought was it was a glitch because she joined a split screen rather than playing the game on her own first with the tutorial and all. So we switched, she was first player I was second player, but the bar still persisted. Its only on the second player
screen, but from what I can tell is, it doesn't matter who's second player. Any help/advice? Also, anyone with the same issue, if its a glitch they could probably patch it by the next scheduled update..

Grey screen

whenever i am in a game or in a application amd say want to check a message or go to the home screen i press the xbox button. Here recently when i press it nothing pops up. The grey over lay comes up but im still moving around in the backgroun. Whenever
i need to get to the home screen its basically forces me to turn off then on my xbox. Its really fustrated me latly. Anyone else have the same problem or know how to fix it.

 

Help needed. Split screen multiplayer problem, asks current player to join!

Just got the game tonight for the kids. Ours is doing the same thing. We only own two remotes and it has a constant flashing grey box across the split screen showing the 3rd controller flashing and asking to press menu to join. Anybody found a solution to
this? Very annoying!!

 

Update!! It goes away when you disable the HUD view, but playing without your HUD is just as annoying as missing part of the screen, so we still need help

 

Same problem here, regardless of 2nd player account.

 

I see the grey bar but only on the second player, really annoying. Anyone have a work around? Is it a bug?

More annoying is the constant prompt for more players to join. Was trying to play with two players and the xbox kept displaying a message to press button for more to join. Anyone able to get the prompt to stop?

 

My grey bar is gone!! I quit the game manually, and when it restarted it vanished, sans; do you have more than two controllers on and linked to your Xbox 1? That causes the prompt to pop up, I fixed that by turning off the extra controllers.

 

Fixed mine - just deleted and reinstalled the game. Should have tried that first.
