Whathappend t o split csrean mp games? I cant think of any of the newer games that do this anymore. My nephew comes over sometimes and the only game we can even do split screan on is that mindcraft game. X1 games I dont have one we can do it on. Even if
its coop games u cant seem to play them on the same console.

Xbox app on my computer will only show a green screan

I turned my Xbox one on today, and launched the Xbox app on my computer, however the screan is just a green screan with all the regular top bar bottons. There is no loading ring or dots, just a blank green screen. How do I fix this issue?

@Bamboozle, your forgetting above everyone else who is playing the game, there are very players who play MP and want to loose, having split screens on your team increases that 10 fold (if not more), having split screeners on the other team generally means
cannon fodder and an easy win.

So the result is spoiling the fun for other people as the teams and massively unbalanced. (i know there are exceptions but not many, and alot of time 1 split screaner will be OK as its their console and game, but the other is rubbish)

Hopefully your girlfriends is worth the investment and buy her an xbox one, buy games digitally and everyones happy, plus both your gaming experiences are increased as you no longer have to setting for split screen.

While I understand and sympathies your situation, I don't have a problem with no development time going into it, and it does take time to develop.

 

One the Xbox one i can think of the 3 Lego games,Marvel,Movie,& Hobbit,Child of Light & Forza.They have split screen & i assume there are more.

 

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare has split screen survival mode which is fun.

 

Split screen is just not fun........ Sorry but that's the direction gaming is going. Indeed it was cool in the GoldenEye days of consoles but,

Nobody wants to share a screen when on-line multiplayer is an option. Sorry

Just take turns playing........ Seems like that's worked for years now......

Split screen isn't popular anymore. Some games still have the option and all, but it's pretty much fazed out.

 

Yep I agree, I don't think split screen is that popular anymore. The only game that I can think of that does split screen is Call of Duty: Ghosts.

 

Couch Co-op is a big deal and will continue to be a big deal. Every single one of you in this thread has a co-op game that can be played on the same console with two controllers.

 

Yes i've been noticing the downsizing of spliscreen for a long time. But when you have friends or family over and you want to actually be with them and not just chat with a headset. You are tacking out the human contact out of gaming. Dont get me wrong Iwould
not want to go back to the days where splitsreen was your only option. But tacking turns and actualluly playing together are not the same at all. I dont see why titanfallcouldnt have had split screen option and so many others. As for Child of light who wants
to be the firefly that would boring beyond beleaf. And we have tried slitscreeen on codbo and it doesnt work it just freezes at one of the load screens every time. This is a way for people to bond with loved ones. It just doesnt work the same if your not really
with them. I love my nephew he is the youngest of the three of my sisters kids and he wants to play games here with me on a team not in 2 difeerent locations. After miissing out on most of the other 2kids lives cause of my past I want to be with and there
for him as much as possible. And im sure thers more people like us. So game devs give it some thought give people the option im sure not much goes in to making a gamebe able to play spliscreen, so why not do it, i dont think people would go up in arms if u

I love split screen. I'd much rather play split screen with my kids than MP with some dummy whose head I could crush like a grape, telling me all the things he's gonna do to my mom.

 

I feel sad that alot of people have forgotten what it's like to have another person sitting next to you and crushing them, or helping each other crush competitors . I agree I don't like to do split screen, but it is an experience that I don't think could
ever be replaced.

My friend and I have found away around split screen though. LAN , and even now a lot of games don't support it, but now we have high speed Internet, we have 3x360's 2xX1's in one room, and we just go online and destroy the competition, or private match.
But I can tell u that in my opinion there really isn't a replacement to having another human being sitting next to u and crushing them or getting crushed. The arguing, the yelling, the hype, joy, and fun of it is an experience in itself.
